Learning Stair

Centrally positioned within the building’s core and constructed of sleek, white oak, a learning stair encourages impromptu socialization and informal study. A backlit donor wall featuring a graphic of Norm Asbjornson, the project’s namesake, serves as a focal point on the second floor.

Alternating steps are etched with inspiring anecdotes reflective of the facility’s mission for collaborative teamwork and innovative outcomes. Each letter uses a triangular dot pattern that stems from an abstraction of MSU’s signature “M” to brand the space as an authentic Bobcat environment.
